I never thought I would say it...but I am COLD!

This week has been "now maak" (very cold)!!! I used to think my students were so silly when they would come to school with scarves and gloves...but since the temperature has gotten into the 50s, I am cold! Maybe I am becoming Thai and I'm more sensitive to cooler temperatures?!

There is no such thing as heating in Thailand, and most buildings and houses are at least partially open air. Thankfully, I brought a sleeping bag with me and I'm able to use it as a second blanket. Getting up in the morning is that much tougher though! ugh! and those cold water showers in the evenings --- brrrrr!

But I am trying to put things into perspective...in about two weeks the weather is going to get hot, and then from there it will continue to get hotter and hotter for the next three months (definitely in the 100s). So I am doing my best to soak up and appreciate this cool weather.

(Also, I feel a bit silly describing the Thai weather as cold, when I know that many of you are facing much colder and drearier conditions...!)
