The Little Things...

Sawadii Ka!
I've been thinking a lot lately about how I've never lived in a place that has such consistent blue skies. I guess this could be due to the fact that I have spent a large majority of my life in Seattle, WA and Portland, OR. But still, I find myself noticing and appreciating the vibrant blue sky everyday and I hope I continue to do this the whole time I am in Thailand. Because it is the little things that matter...

Some of my ETA friends and I have been updating each other on our experiences at our host schools and we've noticed how it really is the little things that matter. It is the smile from a little kid when you say hi to them in Thai. It is the awesome conversations you can have with people even though you only know a bit of Thai and they only know a bit of English. It is the ability to get fresh fruit every minute of every day (sometimes even from your own backyard!). It is the moment when what you are teaching "clicks"with your students...it is the little things that are making my time in Thailand wonderful!

Talk to you later! Peace and Love!

Kate
