Happy Holidays!

Hello! I can't believe that next week is Christmas, and then it is 2009! Wow!

I also can't believe that I have been in Thailand for three months already! Some days I feel like I just got here, and other days I feel like I've been here forever!

Christmas isn't a national holiday here, so I will be going to work on Christmas (first time in my life!). But...we are having a school wide International Day on Christmas with spelling bees, singing performances, and food from around the world. This week I taught Christmas carols to three of my classes, and they will perform on Christmas! We are singing Jingle Bells, Santa Claus is Coming to Town, and We Wish You a Merry Christmas! Teaching the songs, which a lot of the students already knew, was really fun and a great way to get a bit of the holiday spirit I am missing from home.

For New Years we get a few days off of school and I am going to Bangkok to ring in 2009! I'm meeting up with some friends and enjoying the big city life for a few days!

I am definitely missing home a little, and it is so bizarre to think of what my family and friends are up to, and the weather they are having! SNOW?! ICE?!

This week I started teaching a class after school for members of the Sukhothai Cultural Affairs Office. About twenty of the staff come to my school, Sawananan Wittaya, for a two-hour Conversational English class. It is interesting to teach adults! But it is a nice change of pace!

Thinking of you! Sending season's greetings from Thailand!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!
