Thailand...and Obama!

Hey all!
I just finished my Wednesday of classes. My last class of the day is with the M. 2/2 class (eighth grade). It ends up that the class is all girls. They are just lovely! Especially because every Wednesday the middle school students wear their boy scouts or girl scouts uniforms (I guess everyone is in boys or girls scouts here!). So all the students were wearing their cute blue uniform with buttons and bandannas around the collar. Na rak ka! So cute! Plus we played hot potato, which they enjoyed. And we practiced greetings - we did some of the typical ones like "hello" or "hi." But then we did "yo" and what's up" too! They thought it was hilarious when I said "wazzzup" and they kept practicing this one. I hope they will use it when I see them around campus!

I'm about to head back to my house and then hopefully go on a biking adventure to find the hospital where supposedly there is "aerobics" every evening! We'll see!

During the past couple of days, I have had many students and teachers ask me about the elections. Usually the students phrase it like "teacher: Obama or McCain?" When I say, "Obama" they clap and cheer. I don't know if they really understand much about what is going on, but they do say that Obama is handsome and McCain is old. One student even called McCain a "maverick." Incredible vocab for an English learner!

Anyways, the presidential election has been in the news here a fair amount. It is nice to share with people that Obama won, and have them appreciate it a bit!

All for now, sending some hugs your way!
